That said, your first goal should probably be the medium tank line with the T-34 up to the T-34 model 1942. You can look up the BR of a tank on that tank's stat card, and you'll want to generally have about the same BR on all of the tanks in your active lineup - otherwise, your stronger tanks will drag your weaker ones upwards, and you might get nasty matchmaking your weak tanks can't cope with. In that case, the first important point you have to realize is that the matchmaking is not based on the Tiers in the tech tree, but on the highest single Battle Rating (BR) of your tank lineup.
